Hey, I’m Jacob- a photographer and filmmaker based in St. Louis, Missouri.

My photography is prominently focused on portraiture because I find it to be the most vulnerable aspect of the medium. How I capture them is through having an emphasis on fine art that deals with nature or fashion. Through the vast collection of photographs I have, black and white photographs are a huge favorite of mine.

My films are…films shot with a camera that cycles through photographs. Ranging from visual poems, experimental pieces, comedies, and romance dramas, it is a strong passion of mine that holds the dearest place in my heart.

The freelance journey started in November 2019 when I purchased my first digital camera. Since then, I have explored numerous different practices to refine my art to where I would like it to be.

With photography, it naturally led to cinematography since both practices have similar disciplines in terms of utilizing light and framing to capture a story through a subjective lens.

Not all journeys are easy, including this one. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
